No. Screw that. I'd rather wash and wax my car. Had enough of this computer stuff.
An old in-house utility is still being built under VS2005 and is still using OpenSSL 0.9.8.
Remedying both issues seems a relaxing little diversion until Sidekick is ready to go out and play.
The septuagenarian/octogenarian stampede will likely have eased by now so..off to Hardees for something to munch on.
Note for those not in the US: Hardees is a fast food chain that the elderly are inexplicably drawn to every morning. The line to get in often blocks traffic on the highway. I don't understand it and I'm not even going to try to.
@kdfrawg I have a very intimate relationship with the more eccentric bits of this software. I will feel no regret when I kill them off. I will probably celebrate with many relaxation kits when I do.
@konrad Design decisions took place there that I had no control over and haunt me to this day.
I haven't been to the bank in five weeks. I should probably do that so I don't get a pouty face from the bookkeeper come check reconciliation time.
@kdfrawg It's best summed up by the wisecrack I heard ..
"The wedding date has been set. I've not asked her out yet"
Problem found. That was quick. A testament to actually sleeping, I guess.
We have a pristine system database which we hit and draw the drivers and such from. Those are in turn converted into C structs that are used by the new installation bootstrap code.
A weird edge case happens that I am not about to try and verbalize.
It's fixed. Now I can relax and work on more important things.
