Note for those not in the US: Hardees is a fast food chain that the elderly are inexplicably drawn to every morning. The line to get in often blocks traffic on the highway. I don't understand it and I'm not even going to try to.
@kdfrawg I have a very intimate relationship with the more eccentric bits of this software. I will feel no regret when I kill them off. I will probably celebrate with many relaxation kits when I do.
@konrad Design decisions took place there that I had no control over and haunt me to this day.

We have a pristine system database which we hit and draw the drivers and such from. Those are in turn converted into C structs that are used by the new installation bootstrap code.
A weird edge case happens that I am not about to try and verbalize.
It's fixed. Now I can relax and work on more important things.
@konrad I'm still waiting for the version of NT that was supposed to ship with it. The wait began in my 20s. Thirty years later, I am beginning to have doubts.
