In my case, mother nature took care of the problem for me.

That looks incredibly uncomfortable.

@kdfrawg Before I die, I'd like to see a bunch of "fat cats" skinned.

@kdfrawg There is no positive to monetizing incarceration. None. It is incompatible with capitalism. Capitalism seeks growth. This is not a "industry" where growth is in any way moral or ethical.

I'm at the office so we're good, there.

Can you imagine the noise and jet wash that comes from that thing?

I have to set up one again and soon.

I have that customer in Florida who's on a MS-DOS system and I need the data off it so I can convert it into something from this century and install it on a new PC.

He'll be mailed a modem, cable and some telecom software on a 5.25" floppy.

The BBS computer will be plugged into our fax line.

He will be walked through uploading the data via ZModem.

This is why I have a hard time finding help. These are the kinds of situations that occur in our neck of the woods. It's the tech equivalent of asking a potential hire, "Can you shoe horses?"

I was largely BBSing still back then. RIMENet and FIDOnet for mail, etc.

September 1994: When usenet realized they weren't going away and things would never be the same again.

Sept 16th, 2010: The day the Internet was filled with pictures of random objects both zoomed and unzoomed.
