@kdfrawg It doesn't amaze me at all. Some get so wrapped up in an opinion or idea that no force can deviate them from it.

Sometimes, I wish I could believe in something that strongly. Just toss contrary evidence and common sense aside.

I'm that way about most science fiction as well. There are a few writers in the genre I love (Leiber Sr., Frank Herbert, etc).

Most of the others bore me to tears.

@kdfrawg Borland Pascal, from back in the day, made it so easy as well. Most of my Pascal was ASM blocks :)

@kdfrawg It's more than age. Look at the instruction set of the 8080, which you undoubtedly did work on. Now, look at the instruction set of a modern Intel processor.
