…The ACA requirement to pay is still on the books but the IRS has absolutely no power to enforce it.
At this point, it's akin to laws claiming you can beat your wife with a stick of a certain diameter.

Looking into it more..Apparently there was an executive order to the effect of "Do not enforce the penalty"
"Failure to tick the box (61) could have, in past years, resulted in a kickback of the tax return. However, the IRS has indicated that for 2017, it will accept and process tax returns where a taxpayer is silent on coverage."

If this existed last year I was unaware of it as our now ex-accountant did our taxes.
There's a flat-out "I decline" to the ACA stuff with no penalty?
That's surprising.
@larand They did a better job with typography in particular. It was a very pleasing to the eye design. Just needed someone at the helm who wasn't a buffoon going on about "A 600.00 phone? Without a keyboard? guffaw".
They were far too late to succeed.
