@larand I'm thinking that when I get tired of the BMW, I'm going to go to an older Mercedes diesel. They're easy and simple to work on, look sharp and run forever.

@larand Sometimes I regret not fixing that 740GL and keeping it as a beater until I crossed the million mile mark. I was just so SICK of the interior of that car. Every time I sat down in it, a piece of my soul died. Too many miles staring at that dashboard knowing that when I stopped, I would be faced with an ancient Lantastics or NetWare Lite network. Or, God forbid, TSX-32.

@phoneboy The radius I was operating in pretty much went from the Carolinas to Arizona. I wasn't home much that year. Fortunately, most all of the ancient legacy customers were put online and I will never have to do that again.
And I will never, EVER speak ill of Volvos. The B-240f, 4 cyl. is an amazing engine. Good for 500,000 to 1,000,000 miles if you take care of them.
The only reason I did not repair the engine when it blew in 2008, (which I could have done for approx $700.00), is that I saw so much of the inside of that car that I never wanted to see it again.
@phoneboy That was me in 2007. I put over 100,000 miles on my car. I still flinch when I pass a Holiday Inn Express.

@larand There are so may things about ADN I never quite understood. They had the attention of some big named social types. Sure, a lot of them were complete douchebags but they provided a lot of recognition and a lot of potential momentum. Yet, nothing ever happened. It's as if everyone were asleep at the helm.
