@larand And the kicker is, the reason they refused to compromise came to pass anyway. The only commercially successful "distros" are wholly controlled by a corporate entity that only shares what they want when they want.
@larand It's a little depressing. You can see glimpses of what could have been had the ball not been dropped a few years back. If certain parties had been willing to compromise, it would have been dominate.
Ubuntu experiment ends for now.
It's just in a slightly prettier condition than it was in 2008.

@skematica Unix is one of the most logical and simple OS designs ever conceived. Linux reimagined it as a rickety monster built from mismatching parts. All of the holes are there but none of them line up.
