@matigo This has pushed me over the edge. Anything still on Windows for the publishing work chain will be removed. For the day job, Windows builds can be done with a Windows 7 VM until that is no longer viable. I have those hosted on both Mac and Linux.

I have a feeling Sidekick's laptop will aggressively reboot on it's own soon while she's working on her next book.

This will precipitate the "We have to go Mac." or "Can you pretty please make a Linux laptop for me" conversation.

I'm almost angry enough to go back to Linux full time.

Thank you Windows 10 for rebooting, without warning, to install an update when I was in the middle of working on something.

Looking at my screen, 20 minutes later, I see it is at one percent and that my PC will reboot several times.

You were explicitly told to not reboot because I was busy. I have work to do. Yes, even early on a Sunday morning.

You did it anyway.

This is why I am now checking out a Visual Studio project on a damned Linux box, hunting down where I was and recreating my edits.

Windows is next to useless for anything beyond gaming.

@larand Mine was from surgery to repair a fractured radius and ulna. The latter was compound. Wrestling injury. Held together with two plates, 19 pins and a bunch of staples.

@larand Yeah. They're pretty ugly when fresh. Mine was 36 years ago.
