Sounds like an all-around win.

I will probably pick up a small john boat, evenrude outboard and trolling motor. Something to take to the lake and fish from. Sidekick has expressed interest in fishing.

Every time I think about getting a boat, I remember back to when a friend and I bought a speedboat and all of the time and money the thing sucked away.

It occurs to me that I am the age where discussing fiber with someone could lead them to think I am discussing laxative instead of networking.

Going to have to choose my words carefully from here on out.

One of the things I actually like about taking over here is just calling a vendor and telling the bookkeeper "X of Y are on the way" and thinking nothing more about it.

Yes.

  1. iPhone6S that's due to be replaced with a flip phone
  2. Dropbox
  3. Verizon
  4. Inapplicable
  5. Cash or card. Used ApplePay on a whim once or twice.
  6. Whatever is handy. Most of the time I know where I am going anyway.
  7. No earthly idea what Google Keep is.
  8. Been using Bing search. It actually isn't a joke anymore, I was surprised.
  9. Hangouts for two people who insist. Skype for everyone else.
  10. Don't buy a lot of apps. Ebooks from O'Reilly and Amazon mostly.
  11. Nothing even comes close to Google Translate.
  12. Sendmail server sitting in my office. Have Gmail accounts but hardly look at them anymore.

I'm kind of all over the place with tech.

Evening started out as, "I am going to bed early tonight with a book".

It wound up being, "It's almost 1:00am and I am working on code"

I disappoint me.

Never fails that when I reach the Windows end of things, my productivity screeches to a halt.

Including our long ago unsupported in-house distro to the build cycle tonight out of amusement.

Which tells me my idea of amusement needs a lot of work.

Too many. She keeps having me extend the rows.
