Got my obscure dynamic dhcp/bind issue at the house resolved. My options are to either play Fallout 4 or drive to the office NOW and get the server situation rectified and attack a few remaining annoyances while no-one is there to bother me.

Opting for the latter.

A lie told by the same guy who told the "Paperless Office" one.

A question I often ask myself.

Got the application server online once the DNS server was up and running. Also got the git repos up and accessible (which is what tipped me off to the problem to begin with).

I get home and receive the following email

This is an automatically generated mail message from mdadm
running on appserver01.pcds.lan

A DegradedArray event had been detected on md device /dev/md1.

Faithfully yours, etc.

Then it went offline. So, I will be going in at 3:00AM-ish to sort THAT mess out.

4:00am. At office. DNS and Repos offline. UPS blew. Then our internal application server failed to come up. Grrr

Yuck. It's only 84 here.

I'm envious. Enjoy!

The latter happens a lot. Confession time. I might be a metal head at heart but Earth, Wind and Fire is one of my all time favorite bands.

It's too bad my Catholicism didn't take as I had a stigmata issue of sorts last week. Bleeding from tear duct. (Infection)

"You are blessed", is a lot less jarring than, "Holy #$!Go to a doctor NOW!"
