It's being used in place of "I do not agree with you". Same as racist and many other words. The tin foil hat side of me often wonders if this isn't by design.

We're just going to have to be content with 10c and pnut being a not-well-known online place free of asshats. Perhaps not being well-known is a blessing.

Aside from the kernel spewing microcode errors when one or more VMs are under heavy load, everything is running perfectly. The errors seem harmless though as neither the VMs nor the host even flinch.

Reddit is fine. For me at least as I stick to code and gaming circles. The Skyrim community is remarkably free of asshats.

The problem with people hurling that word (among others) around indiscriminately is that it has lost most if not all of it's meaning. Provides perfect smoke cover for the real bad actors.

4chan is mostly trolling. At least it used to be. Haven't taken a glance at it in years as I have very little patience for that sort of thing.

Mostly anti-semites. (Which both alt groups seem to house) One of the folks that made an impact on me growing up was a camp survivor. If someone said anything like GAB's normal content to my face, they'd wind up in intensive care. I have very strong feelings about that subject.

It's worse.

Not all of them are like that but it is not worth the trouble wading through the "kill all Jews" filth to find them. People like that need their own place to stay out of the hair of others and I guess that's what GAB is becoming.

//

What my phone tells me is that I forgot to delete the Twitter app. The GAB app reminds me that there are drawbacks to being open minded. (Platform is a rancid blend of garbage fire and sewer)

So, I guess this exercise was useful after all.
