If we charged by the hour, we'd be on the Fortune 500 list. Most of the actual software support I do is logging in remotely and fixing the problem myself. Here lately we've been beset with hardware and networking issues that technically we can say "Not out problem" to but we don't. A lot of customers have been with us for over 30 years and that comes with a lot of liberties. :)

Until teleportation becomes a thing, we're stuck with it. If teleportation does become a thing, it'll probably be taken over by Charter, AT&T and Comcast..Meaning I will continue using the phone.

They and other vendors have really been dropping the ball though. It seems almost universal.

FWIW. The massive to-do list of this morning is being quickly whittled away. Enough progress has been made that I feel safe cranking up some Diablo Swing Orchestra, sipping some coffee, staring off into space and wondering where my life went so dreadfully wrong.

There are few things more exhausting than diagnosing a connectivity problem when the person on the other end of the phone is unable to successfully type ping or ipconfig.

I'm not even aware of what the revised plan is. I just gave them a credit card number and they gave me very reliable mail :)

My wife has her own preferences and I have learned from long experience to not question them so multi-user isn't really an issue for me.

I have been very pleased with them a year in.

If Plan Z is a comfortable chair, a good book and a small tumbler of bourbon, I highly recommend it.
