The fascinating part about this is, if they are able to manage a good bourbon this way, the possibility of experimentation that was previously impossible due to time.

Not holding out a lot of hope though. Not quite sure how they can top a decade or more of spirits intermingling with wood.

I need to obtain a few bottles out of curiosity.

I think it boils down to physics. Tends to leak out of anything other than oak after a few years. There's a company in Ohio, US that had come up with a way to eliminate the aging and simulate aging in different woods.
