@larand I run a bind nameserver both at the office and at home. Got into that habit because of things like this.

@JeremyCherfas I can resolve it and all I can say about the first story is, "It's about time"
// @phoneboy @skematica @larand @indigo @jmreekes
@larand .uk is down for me. .com is being resolved. Of course, I run my own DNS here and it has cached quite a lot

@larand What makes me mad is the Criterion Collection DVDs of some of that stuff, since discontinued, go for upwards of 400.00 a piece now.

@larand Wow. It has spread clear to the north-east since I last looked.

This DDOS is yet another example of why I refuse to kill our local, non-cloud stuff.
@larand I can definitely tell it is centered around the southeast. That's okay. One more excuse to not fool with too much today.
@JeremyCherfas Might be. I keep thinking that Elliot Gould and Robert Altman did a parody of sorts and that it was absolutely brilliant.
I'll look into it.

@larand I wish they still made movies like that. And, no, I don't mean "Re-imagined remakes" of those movies. That stuff is tripe.
Movies with a strong but subtle plot. Great acting. Not treating the audience like five year olds and over-explaining everything.
Today's movies are too influenced by bean-counters and metrics. Not enough 'art'.
