@skematica 'Reved up like a deuce. Another runner in the night' is the LAST thing it sounds like.

It's always some variation of 'Something with a douche another something something night.'

That's the exact scenario here. More often than not, though, I move podcasts over to one of my old iPods which I plug into a set of speakers on my workbench at work.

I'm guessing they give salespeople a little leeway. I was fully expecting them to push another plan on me. And subsequently, I was expecting to switch to TMobile since I don't travel as much anymore thus the coverage thing isn't as important now. I didn't express this to the sales guy though.

Only in this household could an argument over misunderstood 'Blinded by the Light' lyrics happen.

I was surprised that they let me keep my unlimited data plan when I retired the iPhone 4S.

I have enough marital tensions stemming from my over-work. Responding to Sidekick's, "I don't really want a dog right now", with, "Dawwwwwwww. Look! Puppy!", would not end happily :)

Insomnia, boredom and a complete non-interest in working this weekend are combining to form a perfect storm of bad decision making.

Rubs hands together

What to do. What to do.

It's all very frustrating.

I'm just looking at the vitriol over Facebook's decision to allow political speech even if it violates their 'hate speech' guidelines.

You WANT that stuff said. You WANT those people to expose themselves. You WANT the eyes of the undecided to see them for what they are.

Censoring them works in their favor. They can imply their message without openly saying it and claim some sort of "Help, I'm being repressed", high ground. It fuels and reinforces them.

Just expose them. Then stomp on them as they scurry for cover.

I've never quite understood the compulsion to stifle hate speech.

You want that stuff brought out in the open. Easier to tear it apart, then.

Shoving it underground is just ignoring/prolonging the problem. It's cowardly.
