@hybotics It had better.
At least I have three hours to collect myself before I ask Sidekick why she paid 3400.00 for a new mattress.
Correction: 3700.00
@hybotics I've always been leery about 'dropping anchor' in life in any way shape or form unless I damned well mean it. My marriage is one of those anchors. Unfortunately, where I work became another out of obligation (but it was dropped willingly).
I plan to "go sailing" again before I get too old though.
@kdfrawg Bingo. I know it is an unpopular idea but the market is glutted. Put some paywalls up and let some of them die off. Why? You'll be left with outlets featuring good, responsible writers and maybe, just maybe, bring a little respectability back to the profession.

Sometimes I regret not going on to my doctorate. It would have been a "safer" road. Teaching.
Just wish I wasn't so averse to "safer". Every time I am in that mode, I feel like part of me is dead.
@kdfrawg The Internet makes the barrier of entry so low. They churn this crap out, sweat-shop style, for click income so no real talent is required. It's a travesty.

@streakmachine You see, New York performs sorcery with their breadstuffs.
We in the less sophisticated parts of the world simply eat flour out of the bag and grab onto the nearest teat.
