@indigo No. It was part of the verification step before the installer opened. Failed after taking a bit too long to complete. I doubt the time limitation has been exceeded as the Mountain Lion installer still works.

He's testing it on his end later today. It should be an official installer as they handle servicing Macs for a university. If it isn't, someone's head is going on a chopping block I suspect.

@indigo I have an ISO slowly trickling in from a source I trust. (Computer repair company in Pennsylvania) I'll give it a whirl this evening on a Mountain Lion VM I should still have lying around to make sure it works.
