@kdfrawg I’m betting over the file system upgrade. My mini wouldn’t be subject to that since, from what I understand, the new file system doesn’t work on their hybrid drives yet.

Trigger pulled. High Sierra installing on Air. No backup.
I tempt fate like this in the hopes it fails so I can upgrade the hardware. All the important stuff is in cloud or private off line storage anyway.
I’ll just leave it here on my desk and be surprised tomorrow morning..or shocked/disgusted.

This is not going as smoothly as the last umpteen times i've updated this thing.
Download of High Sierra failed. App Store sort of gave up.
Trying again for grins and giggles and it is sort of stuck on "Calculating"
Screw it. I'm going to install High Sierra on the Air to kill the rest of the afternoon. I can do the clean reinstall later.
