@skematica I used to think that the Internet was one of those, "Something happens", moments. Sadly, even there, the borders and walls go up and each group can be fed bias by the appropriate media outlet with little tidbits to outrage tossed in to keep the click-income healthy.

I think it's worse than before, actually, because every little nugget of information can be tailor made and consumed. Socially, it's a regression.

Corporate dysfunction is sometimes popcorn worthy.

I did this mostly out of spite for Monday.

Oh, and too. Basically any ADN folk who are no longer on ADN or won't come here for whatever reason.

Mine will regardless of the outcome, I suspect. More for the banality than anything else. I only keep up with @redqueencoder, @raybrst and a few of the local (or formerly local) Linux geeks on there.

And don't, for a moment, think that, "It can't happen here". It already is.

The whole situation with Twitter and the Turkish reporter outlines the need to work around the corporate-controlled bits of the Internet. Go dark as it were.
