@matigo Involves pulling the radiator, water pump, power steering, hoses and entire front half of engine. It's a nightmare.
Enjoying a Ginger Ale and listening to a snoring cat. She woke, briefly, to acknowledge me with a chirp. Back to dreamland in under a minute. I wish I had her sleep skills.
@larand As a West Virginia native, I can attest to the import of those signs. Scary as Hell coming up on something like that.
Had to contend with the BMW learning itself all over again during the drive home. About 25 miles in, it figured out that it was no longer ailing. Should have reset the codes on it but I forgot. I'll do it tomorrow.
Now that I have fully caught my breath from working on the car, I will fetch some coffee.
It's ridiculous that I was out of breath and zonked for over an hour after doing that. Damned cold.
@kdfrawg Amazingly it was still sort of firing. Hot enough to not totally foul the plug. Bad enough though. Runs like a dream now. A fitful dream as I am going to have to change out the VANOS seals but other than that..
And did I call bad coil or did I call bad coil? We don't need no stinking code readers
@kdfrawg It's fairly annoying getting the passenger-side cabin air filter shroud off but once that is done, 14mm plug socket, extension and 10mm socket for the cover nuts and the nuts holding the coils in place are all you need.
Screw it. I'm going to put the plugs and coils in the BMW. Accomplish something today.
