@kdfrawg I'd love to see a new 5 series wagon released but I am not holding my breath.

//

@kdfrawg This thing was very well taken care of over it's life. Cleaned up, it looks brand new.

It's a work beater and should get something newer but I've grown attached to it.

//

@kdfrawg 1999. This is the first time most of this work has ever been done to it.

//

@kdfrawg Broom handle was one of the telescopic ones. Tailor made for holding a BMW hood open :D

Worked better than the top of my head to be sure.

The rear hatch one will be a bear. Involves removing trim and body parts.. (Sportwagon).

The part is hard to source too.

I feel I need to clarify the prior post. Profanity was involved but it was pre-installation. The old struts gave way, hence the replacement, and the hood slammed onto my head.

Once a broom handle was procured, the installation itself was profanity free.

Changed hood struts on car without resorting to a rubber mallet or profanity.

A good omen for Monday.

Once, while playing 'Lard' in my office, the cat gave me this disgusted stare while twitching her ears. I just returned the stare and pointed at the door.

Thinks she owns the place.

@kdfrawg But sheet metal work isn't the "family business" though.

Okay. It''s 6:35AM. C# and Maker's Mark needs put away. (The latter was heavily nursed. Were it not, I would not be upright - Let alone doing the former)

Some nights, I have the energy of a 20 year old. You would think this a good thing but it isn't because I have the recuperative ability of a 50 year old.
