I find I use it more and more over Safari. I had the same misgivings but better browser is better browser.

The only MMO I ever got into heavily, outside of WOW back when it was relevant, was Eve Online.

I miss it sometimes but being in a corporation with members that straddle almost all of Earth's time zones is a major hassle. It becomes less an MMO and more a job after a while.

//

My version of that, anymore, is closing my browser and burying myself in a code editor or a good game.

//

Now onto the quirkiest part of the legacy build process. The part where I ask myself, "What were we smoking when we thought this was a good idea?"

Alas it lives on still because it isn't a wise expenditure of time to correct.

sigh

Chances of being a scam…100 percent.

You're going to get a certified letter if they want to talk to you.

// @kdfrawg

Legacy build machine reved up and creaking along like the well-oiled machine it isn't.

Can definitely relate.

@kdfrawg At least the 941 schedule B didn't change internally. Go figure.

In this edition of "Your Tax Dollars At Work"..

IRS 9411

Our software fills in the official PDF. We have a custom form language that we can whip up drivers in to do this.

This form almost never changes but I have to write a new driver every damned year.

Why?

They arbitrarily change field named for no rational reason.

Let's take the first checkbox as an example.
2016

topmostSubform[0].Page1[0].Header[0].ReportForQuarter[0].c101[0]

2017

topmostSubform[0].Page1[0].Header[0].ReportForQuarter[0].c1_01[0]

Yes, every field in the form is the same except they removed the final underscore. Why is anyone's guess. They do this every year.

grumble

  1. for non-US people or US people who do not do business accounting, the 941 is filing quarterly federal tax
