@joeo10 My big issue with the Air is so many in-place upgrades. It's starting to resemble an old DOS machine upgraded to Windows 3.11 then 95 then 98.

@hybotics I played it from late burning crusade until Cataclysm was released. The mechanical changes under the hood (Phasing, cross-realm, etc) completely destroyed server communities. Lost interest after that.

@matigo A valid theory. This is a mid-2011 that originally shipped with Lion. I'm sure they're impatiently tapping their feett and holding out their hands for another 1100 to 1300 dollars.
@peemee Combo and it finally worked. The updater has been flaky since the Mavericks update. I need to wipe the laptop and do a fresh install.
Mac now informing me it will restart in 60 seconds to install the update it already installed twice.
Whatever, idiot.
Then tells me updates have changed. Goes back to saying, "No updates available"
Update went through again. Everything came back up. App Store popped up and said "Updates Available".

I said, "Go for it, idiot", because have moved my work over to my Windows box and don't really care what the thing does at this point.
Downloads it AGAIN.
Pauses a bit and instead of rebooting, it grumpily displays "No updates available"
Update completed. Reboot worked. OS reports current version. All is well in Mudville. Then, App Store says, "You have updates available".
It's the OS update I just friggin installed.
Click update because I desperately want this thing to just shit itself beyond salvation. Nothing would give me more joy at this point.
