@kdfrawg I tend to alternate between reading, fiddling around in the garage and gaming.

@kdfrawg Once the Horizons expansion was released, Mac support was dropped. They didn't really have a choice since Intel HD video is sorely inadequate.

@kdfrawg Regardless of what I do in that respect, the goal has been fulfilled. Goal being - "Turn off the work sections of my brain for a while"

In a moment of not thinking about work, my mind turns to "what next" on the gaming front.

In Elite Dangerous, I named a ship after the man who suicidally decided to reach the North Pole via hot air balloon. Went on expedition to the center of the universe in said ship and eventually want to reach the furthest accessible point in the galaxy.

Thinking, for my next magical trick, of outfitting a ship and naming it 'Astrolabe' - the name of a frigate used by the failed around the world expedition undertaken by Lapérouse in 1785.

I'll try to circumnavigate the milky way with it. Should take me about six or seven months - real time.

ISA goodness.

@kdfrawg Yum. I only had some scrambled eggs, sausage, milk and OJ this morning.

@kdfrawg On the upside, I suspect local businesses made millions.

My drive home went from 35-40 minutes to nearly two hours from the traffic. A lot of folks. Saw license plates from Nevada, California, Arizona, Ontario, etc.

25 mile traffic jam on interstate. Highway 11 stop and go. Horrible

@kdfrawg Tried getting a shot of Mercury but the corona was so bright that the phone wouldn't pick it up. I would have snapped a shot of Jupiter had I thought of it.

Observation: It's fun being totally blind in one eye.

When someone tells you over and over again, "Don't look at the eclipse", and you stare at it for nearly a minute (With good eye closed) and that someone freaks out.
