@larand I would test this to the breaking point.
@larand Tennessee is second only to Ohio (in my experience) for insane drivers.
@larand It doesn't work. People barrel up that road at 45 to 50 constantly. Some even lose control. It's how my mailbox got wiped out. And why it is now on a concrete filled steel post. The next idiot to do it will total a car.
Prints off note from new workstation, to a USB laser printer, stating that if they plug their printers in and it shuts off instantly…and if I drive up there and discover the cable I asked to be swapped out with another is indeed shorted…I am hanging the guilty party by their toes.
Now that I am done playing errand boy. (Went to Staples to grab some stuff the gals up front needed and a bunch of legal pads I needed for personal reasons)..
I will now finish up a Linux workstation to replace one that, for some weird reason, shuts off completely when a print job is sent to USB printer.
Supposedly did it with two separate cables and printers. Also different ports. I don't believe this. They are using a cable that is shorted. I'm betting money on this.
@JeremyCherfas Apart from the rain and thunderstorms, ours has been incredibly mild for the American southeast. Yesterday, it struggled to reach 80f.
Our walk in the park last night was wonderful.
@peemee It took me a while to warm to the Magic Trackpad but I eventually did.
// @hazardwarning
@hazardwarning On the Mac side, I am addicted to trackpads at this point. Almost never use a mouse.
@hazardwarning The bookkeeper and receptionist insist on using trackballs at their workstations. Can't stand the things myself.
The mile long incline that our road becomes, steep enough to make you feel on the verge of falling as you walk down it, shows me how out of shape I am. The walk up nearly did me in. Yikes.
