This is the thing that keeps me from embracing Android devices. Love the openness. Can get by with JAVA well enough to write nearly anything for them. But, you have to root the things and perform surgery to get that stuff off. I would GLADLY pay extra for a device that does not come with that stuff.

Decision made: Linux workstations will continue to be supported. I'm feeling a bit of unease in the directions Apple and Microsoft seem to be headed. Not black helicopter paranoia as I don't fall for that, but, I can see alternatives needing to exist.

@japchap This one, and pnut.io, seem remarkably immune to it. app.net had a few flare ups of it but seemed to clean itself up quickly afterwards.

I have stumbled here out of curiosity

…which is sad because it was right after beta that I got my account. No interest anymore since it turned into a cesspool there.

Mine got the flush.

False alarm on kindlegen and Linux kernel 3.10

Turns out my archived copy is bad.

This is good. I can move almost everything to that Linux box now.

Have VirtualBox functioning too so I can slap a small Windows 7 VM on there for Sigil if the need ever arises.

It had it's heart on me following most of the Kardashians at one point.
