Visual Studio has come a long way since the Visual Studio 6 I knew and loathed.

And he made it to 100 years. Amazing. Started in vaudeville and worked clear up to the early 90s.

I just noticed that! I was installing it on this machine I normally game with and saw getmac.exe pop up for a couple of seconds. Was thinking, "Does it want to know the hardware address or has Apple infiltrated Microsoft?"

When your ideas and ambitions keep forgetting you aren't 20 years old anymore.

And they will never make one of that quality again. :(

I've been favoring the Logitech Solar wireless keyboards.for my Mac and Windows boxes.

//

My wife once spilled Coke on a vintage IBM Model M. It ate away the circuit board etchings. That was a close to Hulk Smash as I have ever got in this relationship. Made me even more upset than her trashing of the vintage IBM-XT keyboard.

//

A glass keyboard. Hall effect switches rated for 80 billion cycles. Wireless/Solar. Programmable keys that can change languages/layout with a command. Am I asking too much?

After being awake for 34 hours, I laid down. After four hours, my brain woke me up and said it wanted to code and that some Red Bull and popcorn would be splendid too, please.

I'm going to give it several sharp raps with a hammer if it keeps it up.

I love my wife dearly. She is the center of my universe and I refuse to contemplate life without her.

That said.

If I were to place her in a large room. Free of obstructions. Place a 20 foot tall, greased pillar in the center. Place a keyboard, in a hermetically sealed case, atop that pillar than hand her a glass of <insert liquid de jour here>..

She would find a way to drench that keyboard with the liquid.

I don't even get mad anymore. I just give the latest victim as dignified a burial as I can and fire up Amazon.

Her next victim will be here in two days. If anyone wants to leave condolences in advance, you can do so in response to this and I will relay them.
