@kdfrawg A Volvo I test drove in 2007 really shocked me, performance-wise. About bought it right then and there but decided to get my 740 over 500,000 miles first. When it finally kicked the bucket, I bought a Chevy Cobalt because I could just pay cash for it and was in a hurry. Dumb move. Hated that car.
Experiencing the tribulations of getting the 486 to 50 Mhz then 66 Mhz only to see a quad core that's an order of magnitude faster, smaller than a Cheerio and can almost be powered by running barefoot on carpet.

When I was little, I thought a world changing technology would be flying cars or teleportation. My young self would have been crushed to learn that it was to be a phone.

MySQL frm file could not be read at all from the disk. Thankfully, we were able to ftp another frm file straight into the directory and get a sql dump.
@literary The difference is night and day. She is still prone to panic attacks but rolls with the punches a lot better. I think the fact that I've fought manic depression in the same manner since I was 16 helps. "This, too, will pass" is definitely the attitude to take when it hits.

@phoneboy In my wife's case, the drugs made her symptoms worse. She obsessively washed her hands until they were raw and would break out in full-blow panic attacks at the drop of a hat. After we weaned her off the meds, the obsessive compulsive stuff just vanished.
