@nitinkhanna It's like the rural version of beached whales.
// @larand
@literary It does eventually. Sometimes you have to drag things, kicking and screaming, to front and center then give them a few good whacks though.
@larand It's a different world up there. It's like West Virginia but more educated and polite.
Woot! Steve Vai is going to be in Knoxville in November.The problem now is dragging sidekick to the show.
@c …The local guy gets to say, "I'm not comfortable with Linux".
It's been around since the late 90s, powers a huge chunk of the Internet and rules the roost in most server rooms. "I'm not comfortable with Linux" is NOT a good excuse anymore.
Im going to take a few deep breaths now.
@c It's not fair. Everyone else can say, "It's <insert Microsoft product here> causing the problem. With me it's, "Lemme log in and have a look", and over an hour later, I've diagnosed a bad switch, a workstation spitting garbage all over the network, a DHCP conflict, etc.
I WIND UP DOING THE LOCAL GUY'S JOB
In the long-standing tech game of "pass the buck", the buck always lands on the one who handles the Linux end of things.
@matigo I'd enjoy watching the attempt. ;)
Hope you like honey as there are pot loads of if.
