@c This morning seems particularly bad for sone reason:
// @larand
Romania is really trying its best to chat up our mail server.
Sorry, she's just not that into you.
@matigo Large chunks of Florida are still without power and places like St Augustine were underwater so I'l be hearing from them soon enough.
So far, all of the "Our stuff don't work no more" calls have been from the Carolinas.
@matigo I had gotten myself out of that habit if search of efficiency and ease of storage. I got those things, yes, but something else was lost.
It always works that way. Everything's a trade off.
You'd think I'd have learned something by now :)
@matigo I'm surprised it hasn't happened more. Consider the power requirements of a tenth of the processing power of those devices just a handful of years ago. We've been skating on the edge of physics for a while now.
Relaxing weekend spent largely off-line. The work portions of the weekend were very analog as well. Several notebooks filled with UI sketches and related notes. It's more efficient doing it electronically but I find I can see things more clearly when pen meets paper. I seem to find the pitfalls and problems far quicker that way.
@matigo Well, they were in space long enough to fall out of it. I don't think Abrams did a bad job with the franchise at all. I expected it to be a train wreck at first, but, no. I like most of what he did with it.
@matigo Jokes aside, it's an unenviable position. The final bill for all of this is going to be huge, Especially when you factor in the lost trust.
Critics only gave XMen-Apocolypse a 48 percent rating which means it's probably good. I guess that one is up next.
