@matigo I miss Pascal very much.

We've reached our traditional, "Let's turn our phones off and be fashionably late", decision.
It's the only appropriate response to a family that wants to start Thanksgiving dinner at 11:30AM
Sent everyone home a while ago. Seem to have forgotten about myself.
Okay, that's a lie.
I'm going to arrive home just in time to miss carting all the food stuff across the street for tomorrow's dinner (at inlaw's place)
It'll be our little secret. Mmkay?
@kdfrawg I could show you roads you'd fear driving a normal car over in good weather. They'd rocket up them in the dead of winter in school buses and semis.
The guardrail at the bottom of the hill was flattened and bent over the edge of the creek the road crossed. Had to be. That's the only place you could put the passenger-side tires while going up the hill.
I look at that today and shake my head in wonder.

@larand And I think back to Ed, our bus driver for Jr and Senior High. Chains on tires. Four inches of snow over six inches of ice. "Routine"
Of course, he was a county employee.

@kdfrawg One thing that annoys me is my next door neighbor has a fleet of busses. He runs a very tight ship. Chattanooga's problem reflects very poorly on everyone.
