Nexus 7 almost usable post factory reset and restore. This is an incredible amount of effort to expend on something I will soon toss in a cabinet and ignore.

I love that design. I have one of the wall clocks in my home office too.

Another thing to pick up today will be another wedding band.

When Sidekick and I separated nine years ago, I tossed mine in the trash. Never bothered to replace it after we stopped being stupid and got back together.

I'm not telling her I'm getting another because mushy. :)

Lining the soldiers up for inspection. They need new batteries and bands.

Yes, I wear watches. Sue me.

Factory reset completed.

What part of my psyche is so damaged that I cannot admit defeat and throw a device away?

The Nexus 7 seems to be sluggish but usable until Chrome is launched. The play store also causes issues

Managed to restart the Nexus 7. The typing experience is reminiscent of a 1200 baud terminal. There has to be something misbehaving to cauae this because Android cannot suck this much on a former flagship device. Or there's a check box in the configuration I am missing. One simply labeled "Don't suck"

The scariest electrical job I have ever seen was in the home of a childhood friend. His house was built in the mid 1800s so being wired for electricity was an after the fact.

I was helping his he and his father remodel the living room. While tearing out a wall, we noticed the plaster was black in spots. It was burnt.

Because the entire house was wired by running cloth insulated lamp cord and plastering over it.

How that house managed to not burn down is a mystery.

So, present track looks like the Carolinas if at all.

Oh man. I need to see where it is and where it might hit. They mean massive service headaches for me as I have customers all through Louisiana, the gulf coast and Florida.
