Now, to fetch a screwdriver and slap the Windows 7 hard drive back in. I'll keep the Ubuntu install on the drive. Want to see what a massive apt-get upgrade does to it.

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by the Ubuntu install on the laptop. Battery life isn't as good as when running Windows 7 nor as it as responsive, but, it doesn't crash like it did in the past. It has successfully suspended and awoken all week. Has not lost the wireless connection. I'd liken it to Windows Vista1.

  1. The Vista towards the end of its life where they fixed the egregious problems.
