I have work-related things that need attention but I refuse to acknowledge them until Sunday evening.

@matigo If Apple could only revive a Pro line that is expandable and industry-standard - Instead of that stupid art project they have now

@matigo Apple's consumer push makes sense on a lot of levels but it certainly leaves the pro-user out in the cold.

I'm already resigned to the fact that my serious work will no longer be done on Apple hardware. It's a shame.

I really should be in bed at this hour. Enjoying the quiet and peace a bit too much, though.

Jobs, Gates, Elllison, Tramiel, and on and on. All jerks.

Even Linus Torvalds. Class-A, unapologetic jerk.

The lower guys on the totem pole who do the actual designing or world-breaking products like Dave Cutler (VMS, Windows NT). Jerks.

Projects I have inherited. They have not gone to the next level without me unleashing MY inner jerk. One of the reasons I do not like being the boss. I can do it but it keeps me awake at nights and makes me do and say things I hate myself for.

Apple is now headed by a guy who avoids conflict and goes out of his way not to be a jerk. He wants to foster a happy, relaxed place to work. This is all well and good but, without the stress and pressure, their days of creating "the next big thing" are over.

If Forstall were in that chair, you can bet the situation would be entirely different.

Apple would have been better served with Scott Forstall as CEO.
