@larand Eventually all cars will devolve into bland, rounded coupes that are differentiated only by the nameplate and the shape of the headlights.
@kdfrawg That piece in my hand regularly fetches 350.00 or more. That trim package only existed for the 1967 model. We will make them work come hell or high water. :)
@kdfrawg They were on the Ranchero. Badly oxidized. That one has been worked over with rubbing compound and a bit of acid.
I miss cars that are distinctive.
Pulled up behind a Mercedes this morning that was almost indistinguishable from a Chevy.
@kdfrawg Speaking of distinctive. The door trim is shaping up nicely. Need to apply the matte black paint to the border then done
@kdfrawg Those and the Plymouth Valiants. Ugly. Plain. Prone to rust. Impossible to totally kill. The slant six most of those things came with were indestructible.
I learned to drive a manual in a Valiant. Three on the tree!
It occurs to me that I have not seen a Chevy Chevette on the road in several years.
I have seen decrepit Ford Mavericks. I have seen elderly Dodge Darts. I have even seen the occasional Plymouth Scamp. even a Pacer or two.
No Chevettes.
Have they all self destructed?
