@literary I think part of my problem with Android stems from being a very early adopter. Those early devices were maddening. Worst phone I ever owned was a LG Ally running Android 2.1.

@kdfrawg As a developer, I prefer Android but as a user…iOS all the way.

@kdfrawg Android devices frustrate me with their never seeming to be "done".
The potential is there but there are always so many rough edges and ideas that haven't totally matured.
iOS devices, in contrast, are always somewhat polished in comparison.

@jws One of the few Android devices that hasn't prompted me to hurl it across the room in disgust.

@kdfrawg 17 degrees with wind chill this morning. Definitely not typical southern weather for mid-March.

@kdfrawg Sounds like us when we bought the new house and moved. A frien of mine who works for the city left one of their large dump trucks in my driveway and I filled it with practically everything we owned - To be given away or trashed. Wanted a clean start and to eliminate a lot of baggage.
All the old computer stuff I have left is in West Virginia - Safe from my "throw away" binges.

@jws I tried using one of the older Fire tablets as a test unit and the experience prompted me to buy a Galaxy Tab.
Mind you, this was a first generation Fire so I'm not condemning the ones out there now. They actually seem to be decent tablets.

@jws The emulator is atrocious. I'm more inclined to debug and test on a tethered, live unit.
Honestly, the last emulator I saw that was excellent was POSE (PalmOS Emulator)

@literary I keep fighting the urge to look at the SDKs and write such a thing. No time for non-company coding projects :(
@sumudu It's definitely a worthwhile upgrade. I hated Windows 8 with a passion.
